World Water Week

World Water Week is an annual event dedicated to global issues of water resources management, climate change and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda. World Water Week has been held annually since 1991 under the auspices of the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). 

This year's theme was "Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future".

UNA-Russia's side-event


On July 10, 2024, at 17:00, alongside with the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), the UN Association of Russia held an event on the topic: "Russian regions and businesses for international and multisectoral exchange of practices in reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and eroding poverty in times of multiple crises: the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions".

The event was online with the support of the Foreign Ministry, the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in New York, MGIMO and the UN Information Center in Moscow.

The thematic session of the UNA of Russia was aimed at sharing experiences with international partners in the implementation of innovative and crisis-resistant policies and solutions aimed at accelerating efforts to combat poverty, achieve peace and justice, and establish partnerships to achieve Sustainable Development Goals and climate action. A special place in the event was given to the updated review of the city of Moscow on the implementation of the SDGs.

2024 WEPs Deep-dive Series

The UN Global Compact Office and UN Women are conducting thematic webinars on various aspects of women's empowerment.

Business Reporting on the SDGs

The UNGC Office and GRI held a webinar on the 11th of July on the topic: «Business Reporting on the SDGs».

A new tool "An Analysis of Goals and Targets Online Database" was presented at the webinar.

There was also a panel discussion on SDG reporting with the participation of:
